Sup, kids? So many episodes coming so quickly, I don’t know what to do with my self. But, we must trek on. With that in mind, we wanted to get some Summer Slam coverage. Sluch, who took 2nd place, was kind enough to come on and chat with us a little bit about the experience and Viola. As usual, we also get off-topic a little bit and chat about other Evo events, games, and various miscellaneous crap. Enjoy!
Wow, so I managed to get two recordings in today and converted and uploaded. Yay to me!
First, our SoulCast. Recent winner of the MLG invitational that was recently held in New York, Chicago native Hawkeye sat down with us to talk… well, about him. NOTE: My apologies for the feedback that happens later in the video. At some point Hawkeye turned up his volume (I presume so that others in the room could hear) and it created some issues whenever funked or I said anything. Never fear: Whenever Hawkeye speaks it’s fine. Skip our annoying voices and just listen to him, if it bugs you.
Second is Strat Corner. With only a few characters left, we are now on Anna (har). I managed to bring on Mr. Taxi, a somewhat newer player that has been doing fairly well in recent tournaments. He had a lot of info, so I hope you enjoy!
As always, if you want to download the mp3, check out that section of the VGF site and your link should be there.
What’s up, clowns? We got another SoulCast for you. This time we discuss the most recent Evo qualifier, PowerUp, with MysticBill, who came in at a respectable 3rd at that event behind other notable players Mick and KDZ. We discuss a lot more than just PowerUp, so we hope you enjoy!
Hey, kids. Sorry for the delay in the next Tekken episode, but we got what you’re looking for: Evo2k11 champ DJ Kor talking Ganryu. You’re fucking welcome.
Hates, a NorCal player and a primary contributor over at 8wayrun.com, was nice enough (har) to come on to the podcast and chat with us about NorCal Regional and SCV. Since NCR was the other major opposite of MLG, it was interesting to hear what he had to say. Enjoy!
Just a little hype for the next big major, PowerUp. As with last year, your humble VGF founder will be in attendance, as well as funked, my SoulCast cohost. We’ll not only be playing some games, but we’re also helping osirun out by running some brackets. So, get your ass out to OHIO!
Also, I apologize that it’s been so long between Strat Corner podcasts. I’m committed to getting every character done before we start doing repeats. That being said, schedules for the players I have in mind for the last few characters we have yet to do are chaotic, to say the least. I promise we’ll have more from that podcast here in the future. I just gotta get on the same page as everyone.
What’s up, guys? We’re back and talking Calibur, this time with the infamous Esom from the land of lakes, Minnesota. Lots of MLG bitching and moaning, as well as other stuff. If nothing else, you should be entertained.
